CARSON, Calif. Philip Rivers maintains old credibility for Los Angeles Chargers in a week when one of his 2004 draft classmates suffered an elbow injury at the end of the season and the other clamped.
Rivers will start on Sunday, 209 consecutive years, with Chargers hosting the Houston Texans in an early season match. This associates him with Eli Manning for the second longest QB starting line in NFL history.
Manning, number 1 in the 2004 draft, was revived this week by rookie giants Daniel Jones and Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger by the 11th general voter and will miss the rest of the season with an elbow injury.
Rivers said, orum I don't think you're getting it because you've never accepted it, no question. I think you've realized that it won't last forever, daha he said.
The longevity is not what Rivers focuses on this week. In Detroit, Chargers is hoping to return from a disappointing 13-10 loss, whose hope of return ended when he intervened in a region late in the fourth quarter.
The election closed a day showing Chargers had two touches recalled due to penalties, two rejected goal shots and turnover in the red zone. The loss leaves LA in 1-1 and faces another playoff player since last season.

The rivers are a non-fleet pocket traveler and Deshaun Watson is the opposite. The third quarter point guard has two goals out of 50 in his career and needs 35 rush gardens to become the seventh QB, 900 yards or more in the first 26 games of NFL history.
While Chargers faced close damage, Texans escaped a 2-point conversion kidnapped to defeat Jacksonville 13-12.
“Everyone makes sure that the crime and the whole team are gone as far as I go, W Watson said. “It's just growing on itself, and the more I play, the more I buy again, the more games start as a quarterback, the bigger it gets.”

STILL WORKING GOOD
Although Melvin Gordon waited, there was no drop in Chargers' running game. Austin Ekler and Justin Jackson, average 5.7 yards per transport.

This was his second big game of the season, after a sack, an intervention, one to lose, and one player taking over five teams, including Houston's quarterback.
Coach Whitney, "Whitney has been a very productive player for us over the years," he said. “He was really a man known only for doing his job. He did a great job of gaining the upper hand in the running game and then hurrying passers-by. ”
FILLING
Backing Carlos Hyde and Duke Johnson were well placed in the first two games after being exposed to knee injuries in a season in a pre-season knee brace in Lamar Miller's first two games, which Houston has suggested for the last three seasons. They helped Texans hurry in a fifth-place game in the NFL. Hyde has so far carried a bigger load than Johnson and has run 173 yards to finish fifth in the league.

PASS RUSHERS IN PASS
The game will have three of the best seters in AFC. Houston's JJ Watt is still looking for his first sack this season, and he never gets Rivers down.
Los Angeles-based Joey Bosa and Melvin Ingram both met for two sacks against Indianapolis.
KICKING WOES
The Chargers hopes to take back the placekicker Michael Badgley after missing two games due to a hurricane injury. Ty Long took on both kicking and betting duties, but missed a double pitch shot last week.
The Texans brought back bettor Bryan Anger after Daniel Daniel's struggle.
